One life is all we have and we live it as we believe in living it. But to sacrifice what you are and to live without belief , that is a fate more terrible than dying.
– Joan of Arc
You aren’t like most girls, and I like that about you.
You are different than the rest. You aren’t stereotypical of what womankind is. You don’t act like them, don’t act like the rest of your gender.
What is this different that they talk about? I do not know but let me tell you how same we all are.
We are same in the want to feel beautiful.
We are same for trying to be perfect in this imperfect world.
We are the same in how utterly silly we are when we love for the first time.
We are same in the over consuming confusion we feel while making a choice between our career and family.
We are the same when we feel on top of the world after getting our first salary.
We are the same in the jubilation we feel when we find that one song which is going to be on loop for a long long time.
We are same in the way we dance with abandonment during the first rain of the year.
We are all the same and yet so different. But that thing that makes us so similar isn’t so bad. A boon more than a bane! Being like most girls is a thing to revel. A celebration of our kind. To stop pitting ourselves against each other a necessity. Because one girl’s success is not another’s failure. And one girl’s talent is not another’s lacking.
Let us grow. Let us build from love, a happy heart. A thread of contentment of being the same.
